Associate Technical Product Owner

We are seeking a Associate Technical Product Owner with a passion for process improvement and technology to join our team and service our healthcare services industry client. The Associate Technical Product Owner is on the Agile team and is primarily responsible for ensuring the development team is aligned and working on our customer’s most important needs.  Partnering with the Product Manager, the Associate Technical Product Owner serves as the “voice of the customer” for the team and will manage key relationships in order to maintain business alignment with IT.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, define, and articulate business requirements, resources, and processes for complex sub-systems or major system modifications.
  • Use complex analytical tools and methods to analyze and streamline business processes. 
  • Develop detailed selection evaluation criteria based on identified product requirements.
  • Independently develop and prioritize business requirements for complex tasks   
  • Lead collaborative application development sessions, gather business requirements, and contribute to system development initiatives.
  • Provide support to technical professionals with regard to a variety of systems and business operations problems.
  • Assure quality of information through business case and application-level testing; validate test results to initial business needs. 
  • Participate in all phases of the product roadmap including early-stage discovery through completion focusing specifically on development
  • Partner with internal teams to solve problems and identify trends/opportunities. Inform, influence, and support product decisions, development, and launch

Qualifications
Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Associate to intermediate level experience with Agile frameworks, such as Scrum or Kanban, and willingness to learn more about Agile methodologies and practices.
  • Understanding of technology, software development, and how products are built
  • Creative and solution-oriented thinking with a desire to tackle challenges and find solutions that benefit users and the business.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and users.
  • Familiarity with common product management tools.
  • Healthcare industry experience a plus.

Work Environment:

  • Remote work from home.
  • Hours of work and days are generally Monday through Friday. Specific business hours will depend on client needs.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • The person in this position must occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, library stacks, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and printer.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with clients and coworkers. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
