Technical Solution Architect – Snowflake & Data Platforms – Full-time (FT)

Data Ideology is seeking a Technical Solution Architect to support our growing partnership with Snowflake in a pre-sales and delivery hybrid role. This position is a client-facing, consultative role that bridges the gap between technical strategy and practical implementation. You will play a critical role in supporting the channel partner manager to accelerate sales opportunities, drive technical credibility, and lead delivery engagements with our clients across various industries.

The ideal candidate combines deep Snowflake expertise, cloud-native data platform experience, and strong consultative skills. You will influence client architecture decisions, help scope and design solutions, and ensure successful delivery aligned to modern data and analytics best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers in pre-sales engagements by recommending scalable, modern data architectures with a focus on Snowflake, while also understanding adjacent tools like Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Power BI, and dbt.
  • Lead discovery sessions, workshops, and technical assessments to understand client needs and develop tailored data architecture strategies.
  • Support and influence data platform modernization, data governance, AI/ML readiness, and analytics initiatives from pre-sales through implementation.
  • Scope and estimate professional services engagements, developing Statements of Work (SOWs) that align business needs with technical capabilities.
  • Partner closely with the Snowflake Channel Partner Manager and sales teams to progress opportunities, including demo support, technical Q&A, and strategic presentations.
  • Serve as a technical escalation point and subject matter expert for Snowflake and modern data ecosystems during delivery and implementation phases.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with data engineers, architects, consultants, and project managers to ensure client success.
  • Author reusable content, such as reference architectures, proposals, and proof-of-concept environments, that accelerate time-to-value and support go-to-market initiatives.
  • Provide mentorship to junior team members and promote knowledge sharing across the organization.​​​​​​​

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or analytics roles.
  • Deep hands-on experience with Snowflake, including architecture, performance optimization, security, and advanced capabilities.
  • Familiarity with data integration tools (e.g., Fivetran, Informatica), governance platforms (e.g., Collibra, Alation), and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Demonstrated success in a pre-sales, solutions architect, or consulting role involving direct client interaction.
  • Strong understanding of modern data architectures, including cloud-native, hybrid, and real-time streaming use cases.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to present technical content to both technical and executive audiences.
  • Proven ability to scope and lead complex projects and influence enterprise data strategies.​​​​​​​
Nice to Have
  • Snowflake certifications (e.g., SnowPro Advanced Architect).
  • Experience in regulated industries like healthcare, financial services, or manufacturing.
  • Background working in a consulting or professional services organization.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML frameworks and how they integrate into data platforms.​​​​​​​

Work Environment: 

  • Remote work from home. 
  • Hours of work and days are generally Monday through Friday. Specific business hours will depend on client needs. 

Physical Demands: 

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. 
  • The person in this position must occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, library stacks, office machinery, etc. 
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and printer. 
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with clients and coworkers. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
